Maker Member Benefits

  • We are creating a nationally recognised standard and definitions for craft chocolate makers, one that sets clear requirements for transparency and craftsmanship. 

    When accepted as a member you will: 

    • Be verified as meeting the Associations constitution, charter and definitions, allowing you to be able to display the Association’s logo (trademark pending).

    • Signal to consumers, retailers, and the wider industry that your bean-to-bar business stands for transparency and genuine craftsmanship.

  • We will work together to raise awareness of the benefits of craft chocolate and its makers through coordinated campaigns, press engagement, and digital storytelling. As a united group, we can ensure that our sector’s values are heard and respected.

    • Coordinated campaigns to educate our national audiences.

    • UK representation into the European Bean to Bar Chocolate Association for extended networking and collaborative opportunities.

    This will include:

    • An agreed glossary of terms to aid consistent messaging.

    • A directory of training, workshops, and online resources.

    • Educational materials for your own tastings and events to be developed as the Association grows.

    Aims:

    • Discounts on key industry tools, equipment, and software.

    • Exclusive offers on trade show and event fees.

    You’ll be able to:

    • Post and find second-hand equipment, ingredients, or materials.

    • Advertise job openings, freelance talent, or collaboration ideas.

    • Share relevant opportunities across the UK and Ireland.

  • We are planning opportunities to learn, share, and sell together.

    Members will have:

    • In addition to other events, access to a UK and Ireland member conference starting in year 3 then every other year.

Supporter Member Benefits

  • Gain a greater insight into work of the Association to further your knowledge of the UK and Ireland Craft Chocolate industry, its challenges, updates on our mission, and join us to celebrate our successes.

  • As a supporter member you will gain access to discounts on maker member products (at the discretion of the individual maker) and other exclusive offers from partners and Association sponsors.

  • If you’re just starting out, or planning to craft chocolate from bean to bar, a Supporter Membership connects you with our community of experienced Maker Members. You’ll gain access to shared knowledge, practical insights, and encouragement to help you develop your skills, navigate challenges, and work toward becoming a full Maker Member.

  • As an Association one of our core objectives is to act as a collective voice for the industry and to educate the media and public about craft chocolate, and we feel strongly that supporters should have a voice and be able to make a contribution to the running of the association. As a Supporter Member you are entitled to apply for a role on the following subcommittees: Supporter Membership, Events and Marketing and Communications and to attend the AGM but are not eligible to vote or stand for election to the Board.

  • As a supporter member you will be entitled to attend our conference.
